Given the fact that soccer attracts more money than cricket, how come similar bribes haven't taken place over soccer?

How many times have we seen goalkeepers drop an easy ball and let it roll into the goal?

How many times have we seen a player score an own goal?

This is not to mention some of the crazy wrongful decisions made by the referee and linesmen.

Seems to me a much easier game to cheat at than cricket.

There is cheating in most Sport but how do you spot it and how do you prove it ?
I agree with Redman......quite a few professional tennis players have had some dodgy results.
In a team sport such as football, cheating is more difficult because of the complex interplay of individuals. The most successful cheating has been by officials who have more direct control over events.

Cricket suits gambling inspired cheating because the bowler has direct control over things like when a 'no ball' is bowled.
