I'm going to do a spnsored silence for comic relief and possibly spliting the money 50/50 with cadets aswell.

I'm not entirely sure about the cadet bit I'll have to ask the commanding officer but one of the petty officers whose the second in charge of the unit thinks it'll be a good idea.

I'll just have to work out how to do the sponsor forms as the ones comic relief have, are emant to eb sent back to them with your sponsor money and it'll look odd if I only send half of it.

Plus I'll have to work out what day to do it, the actual 'day' is a friday but there's a girl in my biology and geography classes which I have on thursday so i might do both bits of it on thursday or start it with the silence at cadets on the thursday night, then during school time on friday, but then i'll only have half the day with this other girl who might be doing it.

Plus, that thursday fro cadets, is jsut before the inspection and the chances are it'll be really awkward if i can't speak, so maybe I could arrange to do it a different cadet night . . . it doesn't have to be the same day and the rest of the silence, but if i'm giving half the money to cadets I would like to do a cadet night of silence.

PS I will have a white board and pen so i can silently communicate with people.

Is there any difference in racistness/ Would it be racist if i said that I'd prefer a whiteboard over a blackboard? which is true!

But that's only so the pen rubs off easier and doesn't make dust everywhere, or is it?
i think you should do away with the whiteboard and do all day thursday and friday. mae your own sponsor sheet, don;t bother registering with cr and just bank the money with the charities when you are done.

make sure you put a copy of your list up somewhere so people can see how much you have raised and what went where
sponsors pay up front......cheeky ?

The Boardanian ambassador this very morning issued a statement deploring the expression of preference vis-a-vis his black/white citizens.
I think you may be asking for problems by collecting for 2 things at the same time (especially as they are very different). Folk can be very particular about what they give to. Personally I'd leave cadets to another time.
You have made that question so complicated that even I am stunned into almost silence Molly.

Do a day of silence and send in some cash, is the best I can come up with.
