Have you ever broken a record and its in the world guiness book of records?
If so what year and what was it ?
If not would you like to? and if so which one?
Yes.
The category no longer exists but at one time( many, many years ago) a group of us held the record for underwater knitting. We did it for charity.
i cant remember the year, but in a pub carpark, we made the longest line of coins. We had to line up loads of two pences, tedious it took forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was only about 10 i think.
I dont know if it's a Guinness record, but an acquaintence of mine holds the "Extreme Ironing" underwater record.
She took an ironing board & iron to a considerable depth somewhere in the Red Sea
I wasn't involved in the making of it but I did see the worlds biggest apple pie. It was done at Hewitts Farm in Kent. this was around 20 - 25 years ago so I don't know if its been broken since.
Don't know if there still is.....but there used to be a record for eating doughnuts. I always felt I could beat it cos I'm a pig where they are concerned..
We had a go as postgrads back at our Uni (1981) and after a drinking session post a football match against our old hall at how many people in a phone box. It was outside one of our favourite pubs. Given half of our side were 1st and 2nd team rugby players, and the rest hockey or soccer players, we weren't small. However we did equal the then world record of 11, without breaking a window. The world record then became 12 and is now 14 (Germany - bl--dy midgets, I bet.)
