i saw an ad on tv earlier and it said granparents day was the 25th of september it was advertising some cd as an ideal gift

So, why don't we have a grandsons day, a granddaughters day, a sons day, a daughters day, a brothers day, a sisters day, an uncles day, an aunts day, a nieces day, a naphews day, a cousins day. Well said dingdong!!

No sorry it is definately Saturday the 24th, i saw it advertsied on the news last night and bought a card from Clintons today and there poster was advertising it as Saturday 24th aswell as other card shops i passed

well i think its a great idea-suppose it just depends on what type of a family you have and mine is great!!! who says you have to line clintons pockets i make my cards and there much more personal and another thing my mother has always said that 'sons and daughters day is EVERYDAY'....Thanks everyone

Yes we are a very close & loving family too. Our adult children & Granchildren show & tell us that they love us all the time - it's wonderful.

Isn't grandparents day an American thing - surely we can't keep on picking up American ways of life here in the UK. We even have British kids going around doing trick-or-treat stuff now.

I believe it was the 25th, or so my mother informed me last Sunday!! We never knew there was such a day!
