Appropriate or not?
103 Answers
A new toy has been created that allows a child to breastfeed her doll. I think its inappropriate as children seem to be growing up far too fast these days and I think paedos would love to see a child pretending to have boobs. What do you all think?

Well when I was a kid I had a Teeny Tiny Tears which you fed with a bottle, plus it cried and wet itself so you had to change its nappy which is not that much different to this really.
In fact it is a bit more honest about what Mum's, if they are able to breast feed, have to do. And what is to stop a child, as I used to do, pretend to feed a doll from their breast anyway?

If the answer is no, then I can see your objection, but if you would breastfeed your baby in front of your daughter, then your daughter and doll is just copying you.
Indeed
I definitely used to breastfeed my dolls because I saw, or knew, that's what 'Mums' did. I didn't understand the mechanics of it, I didn't know why, I just knew that they did and I copied it.
I don't really see anything wrong with that

Tbh I am more worried about the ethics behind this statement by the makers of the toy
"designed to encourage more women to turn to breastfeeding naturally when they reach childrearing age"
as there is already a lot of pressure on new Mum's re: Breastfeeding and guilt asociated with not being able to, or wanting to, breast feed
