What is a subject you can study at University which has a clear set career path at the end of it?

For instance:

Nursing - you are obviously going to go into nursing, which field remains to be seen, but it is unlikely you will alternate and become a cameraman for instance.

Accountancy - You are almost obviously going to want to become an accountant at the end of this.

I am asking purely because I want a career change, but there is nothing in particular I am passionate about or 'want to be', but I want to study something with a clear set career path/goal at the end and preferably within an industry that will always be needed, like nursing or accountancy.
I studied something generic that I was interested in before and it hasnt gotten me very far, I'm almost 30 and feel like I am too old to study whatever and then hopefully stumble into a career like most of my friends did. I'd like to find something concrete.

Any ideas?

FYI: Please don't talk about the economy or the price of university, I am well aware of all that. :)

looking at your previous posts you do seem to be a bit confused about what "career" you want to go for, is this because you want to find a way of emigrating?. There is no real point in doing something just for the sake of it and it being something you can fall back on unless you really do want to do it.

What you mean is you want to choose a course that will almost guarantee you a job at the end of it.

Remember that different people, on the same course, might have different (but still clearly-defined) career aims. For example, a group of people studying Law could include some who wanted to become solicitors, some who hoped to be barristers and one or two who wanted to be licensed conveyancers, plus people who planned on using their degree within the police force or within a trading standards department.
