I watched the film last night. Twice in the film you could see graffiti on a wall that said "the future is female", it had a orange square beside it (like "the future is Orange" logo). What is the relevance of this graffiti? Does anyone know? Thanks

There is a distinct lack of women in the story. Only two female characters speak more than one line. 1973 Cold War spydom was predominantly a man’s world and Swedish director Tomas Alfredson perhaps acknowledges the coming MI5 regimes of Stella Rimington and Eliza Manningham-Buller with that shot of graffiti towards the end which says “The Future is Female!”

Thanks Lie-in king. I read about her in the Radio Times the other day. Why is there an orange square and "the future is....", which is the same as Orange Mobiles logo. Did Orange Mobile copy this graffiti from the 70s, or the film copy Orange's logo. Do you know?

Perhaps, what i would like to know is what is Feminist bs when it's at home
i liked the film, makes a change from the usual pap that gets churned out.

I loved the film too. It was lovely to see all the props from the 70s and clothes like my dad's.
