Bing popping up everywhere
This might be a bit tricky to solve because I am asking a question on behalf of someone else. But here goes . . .
My Uncle is a very Silver Surfer and is having a problem with Bing on his computer. He says that anytime he tries to do something on the computer Bing pops up and spoils his happiness. He said that he goes to open his hotmail account and there is a long pause but then he can't access his emails because Bing is there instead.
I know this is a bit vague but I don't have access to his computer to have a look and help sort it out (not sure I could even if I could see it mind you).
Does this sound familiar to anyone or can anyone advise what I could suggest to him to try?
Thanks.

Start IE, on the far right top side there should be a down pointing arrow beside the magnifying glass. Click on the arrow and select 'Manage Search Providers' highlight Bing and disable it. Restart IE

I am not an expert on computer problems. However, I think you will find that SA has given you good advice. Nevertheless, I would still have a look in the Computer's control panel, just in case there is still some 'Bing' remaining ....click the icon for 'Programmes and Features'....look down the list and if there is an entry for 'Bing Bar'...give it a click and then click 'uninstall'.

Bing is part of Windows Live (it supplies the Bing Bar)
If he has Windows Live on his PC see if he can delete or uninstall the Bing Bar part of it.
I think you can uninstall it in Programs and Features (as it is called in Windows 7) in the Windows Control Panel.
This may help
