I have to give this so-called government + the others their due, they are now thinking!!!! of charging the hauliers from abroad 10 pound a day to use our roads, bloody hell that's quick, what about the Buses, cars, motor bikes? do they swim here? Boxy will enlighten you how much her OH pays abroad, I out of 10 for this government's initiative.

Drivers in overseas countries pay the tolls and charges applicable. UK registered vehicles are not discriminated again in France any more than French vehicles. Why should foreign registered vehicles pay charges in UK that are not levied to our vehicles?

My understanding is that *all* lorries will be charged......however, the british lorries will see a commensurate rebate/tax refund to offset the charge.

Whether they will then roll out this scheme across all vehicles is not yet determined...
