I'm sure I'm getting addicted to AB.
There is so much to do, especially ironing, but I'd rather sit here at my computer conversing with Abers.
I must be strong and I am now going to say goodbye for now and go and do the ironing :-(
Don't discuss anything I wouldn't want to miss although I can always catch up tomorrow.
Bye for nowx

What's this "ironing" thing you speak of?
I thought ladies could multitask- surely ironing whilst on AB is no problem
Why dont you buy drip-dry clothes only? Simple!
The thing with AB is that all the threads will be here tomorrow. Just think of the fun you will have catching up on all the gos!

Back from the ironing, not gone THAT long I didn't think, yet while I've been gone Mrsmaveric has become a football widow, an owl's gone awol and I can't find out what others were having for their tea/dinner/supper depending on what part of the country you live in!
Think I'd better leave the ironing in future so I can keep an eye on things :-)
BOO I wish I was as laid back as you but I have to iron almost everything 'cos I just prefer how things look that way.
Factor my computer is in a little room I call my study and there is no room for me and the ironing board so I have to do it in the kitchen.
Cupid I buy things that say 'no ironing needed' but I still iron them :-(
Is anyone doing Mamya's night night thread while she's away or do you think she might not like that?
Bet Zuchkov would do it.

Sorry I mean Zhukov.
Well, at least you've taken the first step which all addicts must take. You've acknowledged you've got a problem!
Next they'll be A B Anonymous meetings "Hello, I'm Prim, and I'm an A.B-holic....."

That's a good idea Fred. I bet I'm not the only addict!
Miss P. Do you really want to give up?

No I don't want to give up I just need to cut down :-)
Whitney Houston found a 'cure' for her addiction but that may not be what you are looking for.
missprim. If I had not "found" Answerbank 5 years ago I would not have a messy house, an unsorted and uncatalogued pile of statements, tax codes etc, kitchen with cupboards full of plastic boxes without lids which need to be matched up, etc etc It is your choice, go the right way, or stick here among those who prefer the easy life ...... must go to refill my glass.
Just thank your lucky stars your phone didn't ring while you were doing the ironing...
bad bad BAD gen! LOL

But <waves> to you anyway, hello stranger :-)
Question Author
Exactly grasscarp not just the ironing but all the other jobs I'm not doing.
The ironing didn't get finished last night either because the phone rang 3 times Mrs Chappie.
I need longer hours in the day.
I'm just going to start the ironing here - will watch Midwife and Upstairs, Downstairs while I'm doing it! (Lovely sunshine to-day - all washing dried outside!)
I bought myself a steam generator. Bu88ered it up by putting essential oils in it - stupid, stupid thing to do.

I've just replaced it with another steam generator. Love it. Can work out quite expensive though, as I need to use de-ionised water all the time. I'm not gonna take the risk of bu88ering this one up - no way.
What's housework?
Missprim, my advice would be dont worry about the housework too much. The bare minimum kind of works. I did 3 items of ironing at 7.30 am this morning and a superquick bit of hoovering as daughter and grand children coming later then went out to meet them at the bowling alley. Get clever with short cuts and quick meals etc. At the end of your life you are not going to say "I wish I had done more housework". Trust me.
