Have You been Divorced....
14 Answers
..... Once, twice or more and why did it happen?
The reason I am asking is I write a column in a local paper part-time and we are doing a survey.
Was it your fault and why?
Was it your spouses fault and why?
Was it a decision made by both of you?
I was divorced by my wife because I committed adultery.
At the time she didn't like being intimate in the bedroom, which was very frustrating for me so, I looked elsewhere.
I now wished we had sorted it out over time, as we are still great friends and still love each other!

I was a pig to her, unpleasant, drunken, controlling, agressive and I consider it to be my fault. She was however a heinous mare in her own right, but I still feel it was far more my fault.
My second wife and I split by agreement although it was her wish to split not mine. I would very much like to get back together with her, but we'll have to wait and see if that happens.

We were married at 21, divorced about four years later because neither of us would admit to faults that, with hindsight were trivial but annoying to immature partners.
Now on the odd occassion we bump into each other it's all smiles and "remember when" conversations.
Coming up on 25 years married to MkII and have two great kids
Life goes on.

In a way it did me a favour. I only had the clothes I stood up in (he'd emptied the joint account) and my car.
I went for a short visit to stay with friends in the town where I now live....and never came back.
I ended up with my dream job and subsequently met Mr O.
BTW my ex married the trollop and then 6 months later history repeated itself when he ran off with their next door neighbour.

I separated from my first husband in sept 1995, we didn't actually get a decree absolute until about 2004 though, only because neither of us could be bothered. We divorced because we were not going to stay married, that's not the same question as asking why we separated, which is a far more complex and personal answer.
