Ever said to yourself "how hard can that be", "ooh that's a good idea, I'll give that a go", "what could possibly go wrong". Im sure Scott (of the Antartic fame)  probably said the same thing, perhaps to his wife, over breakfast, when a little disgruntled with her husband's holiday plans I'm sure she probably said something like "Well why don't we try Corfu darling? I hear the weather's delightful?" . . . But no Scott put his size 9's firmly down and insisted on a jolly to the ends of the earth! . . . I now know how he feels ;-)

I attempted home hi-lights . . . Mistake no 1. Actually mistake No.1 should be that I thought my mousey (with grey) hair could resemble Claudia Schiffers ice blonde locks.

I now resemble the bastard offspring of an angry badger and feral ginger Tom. Tell me I'm not alone in hair disasters?

I'm not sure any of you are ready for that visual horror ;-)
Oh go on.

I'm praying that headscarfs make a quick and speedy comeback, otherwise I'll never make it to the hairdressers tomorrow.
I've had several hair mishaps so I can sympathise.

I too think you should post a pic
Go on nelly, we won't laugh honestly.
Oh yes we wiiiiill.
<<<will laugh!
nelly, sorry for your problem but thank you for the smile :)

The Queen often wears a headscarf so you will be in the very best company.

Good luck tomorrow x
Wear one of those see through rain hats lol.
Are you going to ask them to re-colour and have a hair sett?

Apologies, your soh is contagious ;)
sorry nelly but you have made me cry laughing

i once managed to dye a ginger stripe into my hair - no idea how, no matter what i did to it there was always a faint colour difference, given that my hair at that time was waist length, it took a while to grow out.

It would have been a Merlot moment, but at 9 am in the morning, it's a little too early, even for me ;-) I think they are going to rebleach it 50% highlights and then tone some of the orange out of the rest of it with a taupe sort of colour. mcfluff, did you also create Easyjet orange?
Of course badger hair makes the finest of shaving brushes.

Bill Badger is a close friend of Rupert Bear.

Badger Ales are brewed in the heart of the Dorset countryside.

Need I go on, nelly? :)
i only did this once, cut some of the tresses, then realised i looked like Johnny Rotten, not a good look at any time.

I also once cut my own hair, ended up resembling Phil Oakey
I used to like the Human League, nelly.
Why do you think the queen has to wear her headscarf?
If it's any consolation Nelly, I turned my grey hair salmon pink when I put a coloured rinse through my hair just to buy some time before I got it done at the hairdresser. The deed was done on a Monday evening and my hairdresser is closed on a Tuesday. I'd to go to a local salon to have it sorted - two attempts to cover it! Cost a fortune too, learned my lesson, I never colour at home now.
