My Browser Has been Hijacked by 'Snap.Do' Could use some help!

Good morning!
Yesterday I thought I had successfully removed Snap.Do, including removing IE and replacing it with Firefox. All was well till this morning when I received a 'Flash' update notice. After adding that Snap was back. I'm using Windows 7. I changed the start up preferences yet it all resets to snap. I'm afraid to use Hijack This as I'm not sure what line I'd have to delete..I assume it's a BHO. If what I'm writing makes it appear as if I know what I'm doing, I confess, I don't!
Would be grateful for any advice and suggestions. Many thanks!

In fact, almost certainly the exact opposite! Having more than one anti-malware product of the same type installed can actually be harmful to your machine. Apart from slowing the thing down, they often interfere with each other's operations, which can occasionally allow malware through.

Download, install and then run a full scan with malwarebytes.

When you first run it let it update and also you'll get a prompt about starting a trial of the full version, make sure you click decline so you are left with the free version installed.

1) Download Microsoft Security Essentials
2) Remove ALL other anti-malware products, including anti-virus
3) Install Microsoft Security Essentials and let it do its initial scan
4) Run malwarebytes on a regular (say, weekly) basis

Chuck, thank you for that!
Mark, this helps too! It has been an exasperating experience.
Now, for Snap.Do: Whilst I understand you're probably proud of your software, I, for one, have found it to be an insidious intrusion. Repeated attempts to remove it have proven unsuccessful and I noticed when I visited your site I could not locate this particular faq. I did, in the first instance go to Control Panel to remove it and for some reason the snap media bar simply did not exist!
Whilst some people may be delighted to receive this 'helpful' assistance Snap.Do offers, I encourage people to read the terms of acceptance of anything they add to a computer as it can often include software that is not wanted.
Sadly, the laptop in question is not my own, but that of an elderly person who has the most minimal of understanding of what she's doing, which compounds matters. I'll take your support faq to her home and endeavour again to remove it. Thank you for providing this helpful link.
Mar, based on your good advice I'll make sure there's no competing software and I'll add the MS extension to ensure she runs safely.
Thank you again everyone!

I know this is an old question but I want to share some tips that help get rid of such browser hijackers or unwanted programs.
If you are seeing pop-ups or linked to a specific site, they are almost certainly being caused by malware. Here are some tips you can follow:
Uninstall unfamiliar or suspicious extensions.
Uninstall suspicious programs from your computer.
Reset your browser settings.
It's also necessary to check your browser's shortcut and make sure it's been affected.
Take Chrome for example (mentioned in this article: http:// www.okp ckit.co m/how-t o-remov e-nova- rambler -ru-fro m-iechr omefire fox/ which I found by chance on the net a few days ago)
Find Chrome icon on desktop, right click it first, and then select “properties” option from the drop-down list.
Once the new window is opened, check “target” section and delete the malicious argument if it is added after “C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe”. “C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” should be left only. Check it again, click “OK” as it is clear.
If necessary, try Adwcleaner or Malwarebytes Antimalware.
Hope this helps.
