beer garden noise
I understood that Sunday had to be kept quiet but the pub next door to me is having football outdoors with a PA system and other jollifications. they have a music licence which requires them to keep all doors and windows closed when playing music, no grey areas there. So how come they can have football blaring out in their beer garden which is seperated from my property only by a wall. What time does this noise have to end and can they make a noise at all on sundays?

No doubt the pub was there first, CF. But also, no doubt, when it opened it was a quiet boozer which opened from 12-2 and 7-10 on Sundays and did not have a TV or any loud music (except, pehaps a piano for Saturday night).
I cannot understand why people who want to watch football think it is perfectly OK to inflict their inane behaviour on others by watching it in a pub. I also cannot understand why the authorities, who go to great lengths to keep order among fans in football grounds, allow virtually unrestricted access to games shown live in pubs with no conditions placed on "fans".
I think you need to contact your local authority, biddy, as it seems your neighbour may be breaching the terms of his licence.
