“One morning he mounted the pulpit and said "The Lord be with you" but received no response whatsoever.

He tried again, and still nothing.

Finally the penny dropped.

He pointed at his microphone and said "There's something wrong with this!”

By now the congregation had noticed that his lips were moving, so they all replied with one voice: "And also with you!"
