How local is your local BBC news station?
Living as I do along the south coast of the British Isles - in East Sussex to be precise - I have the pleasure of being within the BBC South East region as regards the 'local news' area.
This is supposedly covering Kent, East and West Sussex as regards area.
My complaint is that as far as I can tell the local news for the BBC is 80% plus happening in Kent , 10% national news with the odd nod to anything anywhere else.
As an example the 13:30 bulletin today was from the Olympic torch relay which started in Hastings - so brief shot of it there. Straight to Hythe (Kent) where the torch had already passed through 'seconds earlier' and then telling us where it will be for the 18:30 bulletin - which will be followed by a 30-minute ' Torch Relay' special for the arrival in Dover. Return to Hythe where they interview a few school children - one of whom was going to 'explode with excitement'. Back to the studio. for a couple of other stories - back to Hythe where everybody had already left the scene.
Come on BBC there must be better news stories than this - and definitely more from outside Kent.

I am 'moaning' about the BBC which promotes the South East as Kent, Sussex and Surrey but the first of the three getting seems to get more than a third of the coverage

Can you blow up the cathedral at Chichester, puternut, and then we ABers can put your theory to the test?</i>
As Daisy noted - you DO want it blown up!!!
