Everywhere I turn there are people moaning about the weather. People get so wound up over "doing something" because it is a bank holiday and when the weather is poor it all "this country, the weather etc....".

So I would like to hear from anybody who regardless of the weather has had an enjoyable or productive long weekend???

i have had an enjoyable weekend - in that it has been a long five-day break, and i've spent one of them with the god-daughters - and the others just relaxing here at home .... paradise.
It was lovely and sunny down in Kent yesterday and I was at a posh party. Actually I felt a bit underdressed! Everybody was in nice dresses and heels (not the men) and I was in trousers, cotton top and flats.
Its wet here in my loch every day but I don't complain.

I'm having a good break, but it's not a break, I've got to work part of it, but I'm getting loads done.
I'm doing a bit of spring cleaning. Will carry on after my lunch.
I have had and still am having a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, fabulous company and lots of fun. The weather is out there and does not stop me being happy!
The kids are all occupied and are happy so I am happy - may have to do some sort of crafty thing later though.
I'm packing for a holiday so I don't care what the weatherman says!
lucky you Prudie.

wherever you are going -- have a fantastic time.
I'm only happy when rains... there's no muppets about... (Bless 'em)

Tigger, I'm doing a bit of spring cleaning what planet are you on?.. on my way
I`m having a really enjoyable and productive weekend.
Broke the back of the hard bit of garden. Got tipsy and climbed on shed roof. Knitted a hat and today I have culled my fabric stash at last and am now throwing out any sensible and boring clothes lurking in the wardrobe because I am going to wear only black and purple from now on and become eccentric... hence the hat. x
i am not moaning about the weather but i have just had to go round the house locking all the windows.its blowing a gale.
We've just had a tree down, about five hundred yards from our house. Its from the Co-ops grounds. I complained about the state of the trees some time ago,but nothing was done.Lets hope they listen now.
I've had to work all weekend [well just a short shift each day] and am just about to start again! But I've had a nice weekend, managed to walk the dogs two days in a row, which means my arthritis is killing but I am determined to beat it into submission! Oh and managed not to get eaten by a lion.
A little roast dinner is all ready for number one son and I when I finish!

Feckin Izzed down, spoilt every ones day, Moan! do you not think it's justified?
