Everywhere I turn there are people moaning about the weather. People get so wound up over "doing something" because it is a bank holiday and when the weather is poor it all "this country, the weather etc....".
So I would like to hear from anybody who regardless of the weather has had an enjoyable or productive long weekend???
i have had an enjoyable weekend - in that it has been a long five-day break, and i've spent one of them with the god-daughters - and the others just relaxing here at home .... paradise.
It was lovely and sunny down in Kent yesterday and I was at a posh party. Actually I felt a bit underdressed! Everybody was in nice dresses and heels (not the men) and I was in trousers, cotton top and flats.
I have had and still am having a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, fabulous company and lots of fun. The weather is out there and does not stop me being happy!
I`m having a really enjoyable and productive weekend.
Broke the back of the hard bit of garden. Got tipsy and climbed on shed roof. Knitted a hat and today I have culled my fabric stash at last and am now throwing out any sensible and boring clothes lurking in the wardrobe because I am going to wear only black and purple from now on and become eccentric... hence the hat. x
We've just had a tree down, about five hundred yards from our house. Its from the Co-ops grounds. I complained about the state of the trees some time ago,but nothing was done.Lets hope they listen now.
I've had to work all weekend [well just a short shift each day] and am just about to start again! But I've had a nice weekend, managed to walk the dogs two days in a row, which means my arthritis is killing but I am determined to beat it into submission! Oh and managed not to get eaten by a lion.
A little roast dinner is all ready for number one son and I when I finish!
JD, in our town on Sat there was a Torch light procession & also a fair for the children, the fair ground had taken a while to erect on Frid, the procession consisted of about 10>>>15 artic trailers & had taken a day to sort out, what happened? Feckin Izzed down, spoilt every ones day, Moan! do you not think it's justified?
I was having a whinge today to one of my younger friends. She said "Cheer up it's a Bank Holiday".......................What The Funicular I'm retired.
not really productive, bit of light housework, legs, back, and in fact the rest of me doesn't take too kindly to much these days, so do what i can, for the shortest possible time.
