Have they got tarmac up there yet, Ann?

I was t'up north last weekend. It's very nice up there.
If it's past the Watford gap it's North :-)

No anything above the Midlands is way too far North for me to travel .............:)
That puts you in the South Ummmm, but only just.
Watford Gap is ages away from me.
Hardly, if you are still in Northampton. Just over a stones throw.
So when will the world get to your watford gap then, ummmm?
For ummmmmmmm ....

I am further oop north, in a very lovely, but cold part of Scotland, have a blanket wrapped around my legs at the moment, but soon it will be Winter, and the weather will get warmer, he.he.
Hopkirk...I live in a little bubble. Anything outside that bubble is ages away. If I have to drive to it...then it's not near me.
ummmm as a London kid growing up I was told that anything north of the Watford Gap was for carrot crunchers [ sorry folks] which truly annoyed my mum & dad as mum was Geordie and dad came from Stoke on Trent.
I was also told that all those "oop north" looked upon us Londoners as all cut throats & robbers !
Lol Dave x
Careful Ann, I hear it's grim up there!
If it's past the Watford gap it's North

if it's past Watford it's North
Confession time. I didn't even know where the Watford Gap was until I was driving North last weekend. It could have been south for all I knew...

Geography is not my strong point!!
Great link SD,
I think,
could someone translate please?
Driving to London, the 1st sign for The North is at J3 M20 (M20/M26), which is either The West (M26) and The North (M20/M25/Dartford Crossing). That's the real North :)
There should be a frontier post at Luton as that's where the North starts.
