Builders' lunches

Three workers at a building site eating their sandwiches.

First builder: Fish paste. I hate fish paste. If I get fish paste sandwiches tomorrow, I'll throw myself off this towerblock.

Second builder: Ham. I hate ham. If I get ham sandwiches tomorrow, I'll throw myself off this towerblock.

Third builder: Cheese. I hate cheese. If I get cheese sandwiches tomorrow, I'll throw myself off this towerblock.

Next day:

First builder: Fish paste! - and he hurls himself off the towerblock.

Second builder: Ham! - and he hurls himself off the towerblock.

Third builder: Cheese! - and he hurls himself off the towerblock.

At the funeral.

First builder's wife: If I'd known Hamish didn't like fish paste, I'd have given him something different.

Second builder's wife: If I'd known Bryn didn't like ham, I'd have given him something different.

Third builder's wife: I don't understand it. Seamus always made his own sandwiches.
