Xmas Eve/Xmas morn menu
16 Answers
I’m fortunate to be invited out for Xmas lunch this year and barely have any cooking/entertaining to do over the Xmas so I would like to do a special tea on Xmas Eve and breakfast on Xmas morn – there will just be two of us – and we have hearty appetites and like most things!
Does anyone have any ideas or anything particularly special they prepare for these occasions?

Christmas Eve we would nornally have a starter of big prawns, clams, mussels and antipasto, then we would have spaghetti with garlic, chilli, olive oil and anchovies, then steak or braciole with salads.
Christmas morning we either have eggs benedict or american style pancakes, bacon and maple syrup.

Christmas Eve, I am not ashamed to say its "Iceland" Buffet food and drinks at our house. I want to entertain my guests not be stuck in the kitchen which I would be as Roasts are not my strong point!
Christmas Morning I will do an English Breakfast for the 3 of us.
Christmas Day (pm) is my parents house as is tradition for Turkey and all the trimmings, a few drinks and usually asleep infront of the TV by 8pm!
Boxing Day is DVD and turkey sandwich day!!
