Does anyone know who said: "A Christian is a person who repents on Sunday, what the did on Saturday, and what they will do on Monday." ?

I remember this as being said by Rudyard Kipling, but I went to my quotation resources and couldn't find it, nor anywhere on the internet.

If you can help, please provide a reference I can verify.

I saw that, a common problem with inet postings... Thanks for responding.
Frack me, you ought to get a badge for that link, Boxy.

Thank you for this posting. It is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, except that the source you provide is a "secondary" source, i.e. a "hearsay" reference. I did a quick looksee at Mr. Chesterton and found no primary source affirmation of him as the source of the saying, which is the goal of my quest. He may very well prove to be the source of the saying, but I need to find something definitive to document the fact. Again, thanks very much. BTW: the sermon post was intrinsically interesting. :)
