From a chronic illness point of view, if you feel ill a lot and horrible then it's not surprising you don't feel all sociable all the time. I know I find it really hard going sometimes when I'm in a lot of pain and feeling really unwell trying to be all happy and cheerful at work. I tend to withdraw and retreat into my own little world to focus on getting through the day.
Similarly, if you don't feel like going out, it's understandable if you're not feeling well. It can be hard but learn to give yourself a break.
That said, some of the things you say do suggest there are deeper issues which you would benefit from talking to someone about.
As regards friends, it's quality not quantity and if they are true friends they will understand if you don't feel sociable all the time - it helps if you talk to them about it when you feel able though so they understand more. I'm very lucky in that I have some great friends but an absolutely amazing best mate.
We can't comment on medication if we don't know what it is but you should be able to find out from speaking to a medical professional. It might be that there are other options which are available which could help you not feel so bad.

Hi amna,
Sorry to hear you feeling this way atb the moment....probably anxiety or nerves BUT one thing for sure, you can get advice and good advice here but youbreally need to speak to someone in the medical profession about how exactly you are feeling and what its doing to you. I would start by making an appointment with your GP and speaking to them about it...they will hopefully give you help and more guidance as to just what you can do and pass on some other Medical departments that can assist you in how to beat this, or at least , control it.
I wish you well for the future and best of luck to you, young lady....keep saying to yourself "I can beat this". :0)

Perhaps squad this ab'er gets hyper in social situations due to nerves or overcompensating by @acting" good. I say this because when I was struggling with social situations badly no- one would know as adrenalin / nerves mader hyper whilst inside I was a mess. I would always try to avoid social situations in the first place but when I couldn't I'd be non stop talkative etc

Unless you can pay privately then waiting lists for psychiatry services can be lengthy so it might be worth setting something in motion.
You could also look at something like CBT, finding ways to help you cope and help you rationalise things and change the way you think and react to things. I did some and my therapist was absolutely fantastic (recommended by my GP at the time). I had to give up as I was paying privately an my income changed drastically else I've had kept on going.
If it is something like, say, sickle cell then could you find a local support group, meet other people who have the same kind of issues, it may make it a little less daunting if they are going through similar things. It's great to be able to speak to peple who have an idea what you are going through.
