I was looking forward to picking up some recommendations on this thread.

There must be someone out there with some suggestions????
Have you read anything by Jo nesbo? The secret keeper by Kate Morton nice read
There are so many to choose from....the new Jeffrey archer ? ...take a trawl through the Amazon shop...I like anything by Ian Rankin...
I've exhausted the Scandi authors, do like Kate Morton but have read most of her work.

I need to get some books loaded but have felt underwhelmed whilst searching Amazon this afternoon.
Just had a look there are loads of Ian Rankin for download ....thoroughly recommend him..
Kate Mosse Labyrinth is a good read, better than dan brown..

Thanks for replys keep them coming, also read the Peter May books, very very good!
time traveller's wife - the best i've read for years x
Just bought Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn for my holidays. Its a psychological thriller and has some very good reviews. This might be OK but have not read it yet.
Any book by Harlen Coben
I've always assumed Kate Mosse was a Chick Lit author, have I been missing out? I never had her down as the same genre as Dan Brown.
I've read a lot of Michael Connelly, Lee Child,John Grisham and James Lee Burke all American cops tough guy stuff, very well written and keep your interest. Also agree with others that Ian Rankin is excellent
Also, just thought, try Bill Bryson his travel books are hilarious as are Tom Sharpes Wilt books
Check the kindle daily deal each day, all 99p and genuine reductions, they go back up to full price the following day. Some are rubbish...todays for instance...but some really good ones too. All different styles and writers. At 99p many are worth a go even if they don't initially appeal.
Check out today's daily deal, worth a go I think.
I've found I read a wider range of books through buying these deals, which can only be a good thing. Currently reading The Hundred Year Old Man Who Jumped Out Of The Window, not the deepest book in the world but well worth the 99p I paid.
I read that ethandron. bit like a scandinavian forrest gump but was ok.
I might be being thick/blind/stupid but I can't see the 'Daily Deal' when I go into the kindle bit of Amazon.

I've just bought a few more books but can't for the life of me see where the Daily Deal is listed.
I am reading my way through the 'Hedstrom' series of books by Camilla Lackberg.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=node%3D341689031&field-keywords=camilla+lackberg

They are 'stand-alone' murder/detective mysteries, but there is an ongoing storyline with the Detective (Hedstrom) so it's probably best to approach them in order.
Agree with Mrs O. Harlan Coben - brilliant stories, especially "Tell No-one".
