Pillow Worries/concerns

I recently bought a new pillow, not realising how expensive they were. it is a spanish made Viscolastic, and was 30 euros(25quid) I really wanted a dunlopillow, but at 58euros(50quid) thought it was a tad pricey.
Well after trying out the new pillow in the shop, it seemed quite comfy. But after 4 nights, my neck is suffering, from stiffness, feels bruised.
So what i am asking is, does it take time to get used to viscolastic pillows?

Don't know what viscolastic is piggy but recently bought a pillow for £69 which seemed OK in the shop but now I have a stiff neck every morning but don't dare tell other half!

I get feather ones... and just cover them with two anti allergy covers... they are still in my mind the best. hate the foam types like sleeping on a brick

I'm with Rowan. I suffer with my neck and only feather pillows help to ease it.

I am thinking of going back to the same shop, and buying the dunlopillow, as i grew up with this pillow, and dont ever remember experiencing problems with them. the pillow i had a look at, 58 euros, had latex filling, on closer inspection, it appeared to be made of several bags of latex, which resembled bubblewrap, but with latex.

I'd like to know the solution to this, I find it awful to try to get a pillow I'm comfortable with. The best at the moment is Aldi, £9.99 - they seem to be holding their shape OK.

We have memory foam pillows that cause me to have a stiff neck.

I'd love to have feather pillows but I'm allergic to feathers.

I find the majority of feather pillows just don't have enough feathers in them. I like feather pillows though but I too suffer from wry-neck and sleeping on two hollow fibre pillows works wonders.

I bought a memory foam pillow last week. It didn't last long. I threw it out of the bed, as it felt like I was resting my head on a concrete step! Wish I knew the answer!

Feather pillows are best. You can get them with different thickness. Unless you are specifically allergic to feathers they are the best they don't grow as many bacteria and fungus as fibre pillows either.

I got two new Dunlopillows at a boot sale for £25 each about 2 years back, they are good and at a bargain price too, but no one else was buying when we were there.
