Beef And Bean Pie
This is a cheap and hearty winter warmer that is probably more suited to a cold winters night or tonight depending on how cold it is where you are.
What you need is 1 can of shop brand baked beans.
1 spring onion
Supermarket own brand meat small pies (I get mine from a supermarket that begins with the letter "S")
1 Spring onion.
What you do is half cook the pies according to instructions (I think 45 mins is the total cooking time so 22.5 mins) and then you remove from the oven and prise open the tops which always come apart easy and scoop all the fillings into a large bowl.
Then you put baked beans in a colander and wash away the sauce and chop the spring onion and add to the bowl also adding 1 large table spoon of worcester sauce, black pepper and a few large spoonfuls of sweet chilli sauce.
You then mix thoroughly and then scoop back into the pie casings, brush with a beaten egg or butter and cook until golden brown. ( I like to add a few shavings of parmesan cheese )
Garnish with a sprig of parsley.
Delicious Been and Bean pie.
This will also go great with my beetroot and apple chutney which i'll give you the recipe at a later date.
Bon apetite and enjoy your weekends.
