Here's a Bank Holiday Sunday challenge for those ABers who have already completed my latest Macmillan Fundraiser ( http://www.justgiving.com/RichardsLateSpringQuiz2013 )!

A is a BBC documentary series. It has run since 1975, and over five hundred episodes have been made.

B is a live action BBC series for pre-school children, based around a fictional small island community in Scotland. It was produced between 2002 and 2005.

C is the longest-running emergency medical drama TV series in the world. It was first broadcast in 1986.

D is the name of a detective created by P.D. James who was played by Roy Marsden in the ITV series and by Martin Shaw in the later BBC one.

E was a BBC soap opera that ran for only one year. Set in the fictional town of Los Barcos on the Costa del Sol in Spain it was based around the lives of British and European expats.

F is an adaptation of a series of three novels which feature a teenage orphan and heiress Christina Parsons, who comes to live at the impoverished Essex estate (the name of which is the title of the series). It was a 13-part ITV series in 1979.

G is an ITV physical challenge game show. It ran between 92 & 2000 and was originally presented by John Fashanu and Ulrika Jonsson.

H is a British police drama series set in 1960s Yorkshire and broadcast on ITV in 18 series. It was originally conceived as a vehicle for Nick Berry, around whom early series were centred.

I is a dark comedy originally broadcast on BBC Three. It stars Johnny Vegas as small-time cannabis dealer Moz, and is set in Salford. First broadcast in 2005, seven series have been shown; the most recent ended in June 2011.

J is a 2005 ITV crime drama series. It starred Robert Lindsay as the Detective Inspector title character. It's set in London in 1958.

K is an ITV television series which stars Stephen Fry as a Norfolk solicitor.

L is a comedy-drama series on the BBC. It concerns the adventures of the title character, played by Ian McShane, a likeable but roguish antiques dealer based in East Anglia.

M is a comedy-drama about the London criminal underworld shown on ITV. The show ran for ten series and starred Dennis Waterman and George Cole.

N has been broadcast on BBC Two since 1980. It goes out on weekday evenings between 10:30pm and 11:20pm.

O is a sitcom broadcast on BBC One since 2007. It stars Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner as a father and mother who have three children.

P is a BBC current affairs documentary programme. First broadcast in 1953, it is the world's longest-running public affairs television programme.

Q is the name of the main character in three series of science fiction stories shown by the BBC in the 1950s. This name has become the collective name for the three series about a professor who is a pioneer of the British space programme.

R is a children's series which ran on the ITV network from October 1972 to March 1992. It was originally conceived as a British equivalent of Sesame Street.

S is a British teen drama that follows the lives of a group of teenagers in Bristol through the two years of 6th form. Its storylines have explored issues such as dysfunctional families, eating disorders, adolescent sexuality, substance abuse and death. The show premiered on E4 in 2007.

T is a science fiction series first broadcast during 1965 and 1966. The series follows the adventures of International Rescue.

U was a series which was broadcast twice-weekly on BBC1 between 1965 and 1967 and followed the fortunes of a fictional second division football team.

W is a series adapted from Swedish detective novels and stars Kenneth Branagh as the title character police inspector. The first three-episode series was broadcast on BBC One from November to December 2008.
