Big brother in the house

How do the producers of the BB get various things into the house without being noticed. Like for eg all the equipment for the olympics, the large fake flame etc. How do they do it without the participants noticing, as a few are awake well into the early hours.

if u have the chance to watch Big Brother Little Brother with Dermot u sometimes get to see them setting up the tasks, like the pirate task they had to remove one of the garden walls and carry it into the garden at 5am in the morning while they slept, but they also lock the bedroom door to stop anyone accidently coming out. You can tell if any doors are locked because there ir a red/green light above most of the doors saying if they are open or locked

I wish I had seen that on Dermot's show Twiglet.  We had this query at work: at night, are they allowed to leave the room to get a drink or are they told previously to stay in the room.  Otherwise it would be quite unnerving to wake up half-****** in the pitch black, unable to leave a room full of nutcases.
