Anyone in the outside world taking on a live-in nanny has to cover the cost of their accommodation and bills, so why should the Speaker be any different? He is extremely well paid and already enjoys a number of taxpayer-funded perks.
It is surprising that in this current climate he cannot cover the costs from his generous salary without resorting to taxpayer aid.
It is indefensible really that thousands if not millions of people who have childcare costs themselves have to fund the privilege of a flat and all the expenses with that.

I don't know what the arrangement is, but if he gets a furnished flat as part of the job, and the TV is part of the furnishings, then I don't see a problem.
If he tries to take any of the furnishings with him when he goes, then he's a greedy b&strd.
