Wharton always refers to my cat, Tom as Tam for some reason. Perhaps it's Glasgow dialect!!

Good morning cupid pal, Thistle & Wedgy pass on their regards to you, MrC and Tam. Tam is Glaswegian for Tom, no-one called Thomas would be referred to as Tom in this city. It would be a bit like saying 'Look you James' instead of 'See you Jimmy'. You really must come up and see/hear the place one day :-)
