Xbox One & Bose Wave
1 Answers
I recently purchased the new Xbox One and was hoping to be able to link it up to my Bose Wave sound system which is currently in use with my TV.
The Xbox's audio output is Optical Audio (Toslink/S-PDIF), there is digital, yet the Bose Wave is analog, and so only supports standard AUX/headphone jack. Upon researching how to connect these, I found that I needed a digital to analog converter.
The current setup is now Xbox into digita/audio converter via an Optical Audio cable, which is then outputting to the Bose Wave AUX input via a standard RCA R/L cable. However, the sound it not coming through properly and sounds more like a buzz, yet there is still sound coming through.
Is this simply an issue due to the conversion from digital to audio, or is there a solution to this? The only audio settings on the Xbox are to change the Optical Output from Stereo to Surround Sound.
