Pop Up Ads Again
3 Answers
[1] I'm on Windows Vista 32 bit
[2] Have run quick scan several times, first run was successful several severe threats while the rest were PUP ones. More recently it shut down mid way?
[3] Have tried to run full scan, but after 3 days, it ran out of patience and crashed. I have two back up drives which are quite large [500gig and 1 tb] so whether they're too large to plough through II don't know?
[4] am still plagued by pop up ads, when on the net. There are two main sites that keep opening up - https:/ /jsw.js for.net and rvzr-a.akamaihd.net... when I haven't pressed any keys! also a lot of words in the text [on any website] is highlighted in green & underlined [a bit like a spellchecker would] but these are links through to other pages!
[5] Even while typing this the cursor goes up to the address bar HELP!!!!

If it was Malwarebytes (free version) then re-start your pc into safe mode and run the scan again. Whilst large drives obviously take longer to scan it should not take long, hours rather than days.
Safe mode only enables minimal windows processes to load, with no 'luxury' bits. Looks a bit strange because it only loads generic video drivers.
