Russian Underpants
0 Answers
I've recently been reminded of this one, partly by all the ballyhoo going on about the Russian winter olympics, and partly by seeing the latest episode of Jeremy Wade's River Monsters series on ITV2 last Friday, in which he searches for a massive monster fish said to be lurking in the radioactive waters of a nuclear power station's cooling lake in Ukraine.
It's a pretty old joke, but always worth dredging up again at such moments:
Why should you never wear Russian underpants?
Because Chernobyl fallout.
(Works entirely on which of the pronunciations of Chernobyl you employ)
