The Best Washer / Dryer , Are They Any Good ?

our washing machine has broken, i was thinking of a washer / dryer, we have a small kitchen ,would moisture be a problem with these ? what about cost to run a full wash and dry i know it would depend on make and model but basically are they expensive ?

Unsure of cost to run though. Washing lines are cheaper but clothes get wet when it rains. I guess one pays what one has to. You could look at the efficiency rating of the item you wish to buy.
You don't say if you already have a tumble dryer. With 5 in the household, you wouldn't want to rely on a washer-dryer to do all of your washing and drying. Its capacity for drying is much smaller than a normal tumble dryer. It would take a few cycles to do all the drying from one wash. If, say, you only tumble-dry men's shirts, and everything else is line-dried it might be ok, but it wouldn't be my choice.
