I do voluntary work Monday and Tuesday night 6.30pm-9.00pm.
Received a call from manageress today who has asked me (very nicely) would I now work Friday mornings 9.30am-12.00.
Now after being retired for 11 years now, morning times have been my own. Should I make an effort to get up at 9.00 am which is a little difficult for me.
They do have PAID workers. Ta for any answers. Am off now so will get back when I get in.
My suggested answer:
"I'm happy to work a few more hours but I'd prefer to keep my mornings free if at all possible. Perhaps there's someone who's currently helping out in the afternoon or evening who'd be happy to cover that morning shift? If so, I could fill the gap that would be left through them changing times".
OK - am helping out this Friday but will let the staff know that that's it.
Manageress approached me many moons ago re Saturday morning and I always said No - so I am thinking what is the difference between Friday and Sat. Thanks for your advice.
