Hi

I'm stuck on 21d: Girl over in Latin America (5)

I have V_I_A

I'm also unsure on the following:

4d: Actor assuming name for good (5)
I think it is Niven but apart from that being an actor's name I can't see why.

24a: Crustaceans in catch caught by coastal vessels heading away (4,5)
I think it is land crabs but apart from them being crustaceans I can't see why.

19d: Actor's assistant, a help in the theatre (7)
I think it is dresser but it feels like too literal an answer.

Thank you for any help.

Thank you. If Anita is right then I have
Be like Dr Jekyll, or traitorous spy? (4,1,6,4) wrong.
I have Live a Double Life

Could you explain Anita please?
Also, the others. I had all those answers but don't know why they are right. Any explanation?

Thanks so much
It is 'Lead' :)
Anita is backward in Latin A
N for g in Given, perhaps.
Dresser perhaps as make-up blah blah in theatre and nurse attending to wounds in operating theatre. Dunno.
To dress wounds = dresser :)

Thank you. That makes sense and I get Anita (it's backwards within 'Latin America')

Still curious as to the 'why' of the others. I had the answers but don't know why.

Thanks so much for your help.
A very good night, Beverley.
Clues are not very god this week - I couldn't work out the 'why' either to many. With answers like Stroll On, we're rich :)

Thank you to both of you. i feel better knowing I'm not the only one finding them obscure this week....and knowing that we at least all believe them to be the right answers (for whatever the reason).
I have Anita for 21d - its in reverse in l"ATINA"merica

20a is probably LEAD ......... not LIVE
24a
land (to catch)
c (caught as in cricket)
(g)rabs (coastal vessels with first letter off)
= land crabs
Re stroll on...a roll on is a corset
