We have an aerodrome in Perth (at Scone - or it was there). Many years ago I adopted a big dog (Lab/GSD) who was a psychopath and walking him during the night was safer.
We we wandering around the park (The Inch) and I heard a tiddly little aeroplane going overhead. A minute of so later there was an explosion of noise that seemed to go on for ever. The negative person that I am meant that my first thought was of a crashed plane. Then I saw the source of the noise - a huge swan trying to take off. What a noise.
smurf - glad that you had a good day out. It recharges the batteries.
