Conned By An 86 Year Old!

I was travelling to hospital for an appointment and travelling with me was a sweet little old lady age 86. She suddenly became upset and said she had forgotten to phone her son to let him know where she was going and she was afraid he would be worried. I gallantly offered her my mobile and she had a lengthy chat with him. They were suddenly cut off and she politely asked if she could phone again. They had another lengthy chat and then she talked to her daughter in law and numerous grandchildren before handing back my phone. She then announced her son was flying home to see her later in the week.
Alarmed, I asked where her son lived and nearly died when she told me he was in Hungary. God knows what my next phone bill will be.
To add insult to injury, a few minutes later I could hear a phone ringing and she fished HER mobile from her bag to answer it. Grrrrrrr!

I knew she was 86 because she told me her age (as well as giving me detailed info about her ailments and her full life story) within 5 mins of being with her

You obviously know her so present her with your phone bill when it arrives and ask for her to pay it.

Friend or not aquaintenace or not your shouldn't let her get away with that :(

She was a random passenger in an ambulance car I was travelling in. I'll probably never see her again

My grandad, also 86, gave me his mobile and told me to delete everyones numbers except my aunts. When I asked him why he said he didn't need to speak to anyone else.

I phoned her and she told me to tell him to pee off. I just told him that Bev said 'NO'

Id say she was called Edith Sykes and the elderly lady's voice had somewhat became less audable .Was her phone a "brick" ?

lol...I'll try that one, one of my sons lives in Australia. Did she know his number off the top of her head? It takes me all my time to remember my own :)
