Good Morning Early Birds!

Saturday. heavy frost this morning. Tiggy's supper is still where I put it, so I assume the wee lad has finally got his head down. See you in spring lad!

A clear sky so lots of twinkly bits on display this morning. No breeze, so it won't change much for a while.

Collect the paper, some shoplifting then prepare for my guests this evening. Starter and pudding done, so just the main course to go, that won't take long to prepare, then it can look after itself for the most part.

Afternoon oz. Rain at last! That must be a great relief mate.

My guests are both very good cooks. He was a cook with the Grenadier Guards I usually manage to surprise them though. I'm doing Dublin Coddle for the main course, from the name it's not a great challenge to work out it's Irish! :o} As is the potato and bacon soup for starters. That's an old favourite. A break from Ireland for the pudding. I've made a Moselle wine jelly.
I shall miss tiggy sitting here shouting abuse at the idiot box! :o}

If I get my timing right they will arrive to the smell of baking bread. Always a lovely smell I reckon.

The soup recipe is on it's way the other two I'll have to do later mate. I'll send the soda bread recipe with them, then you've got an Irish theme. For an Irish pudding a Bailey's cheesecake. An ordinary cheesecake, but add some Bailey's Irish cream to it.
