An old dear came in and looked at it for a few minutes then looked at me and said, "Does he dance on this dear?". I shook my head and replied, "Sorry, I've not heard it myself so I don't know." (Doh)
Mine is actually a case of me asking the stupid question...in my defense, however, it seems to be a typical reaction: someone asks you for directions, as in "how do I get to Woodward Avenue?" and you immediately respond "from here?" (Which is what I did in this case.) As the comedian George Carlin once pointed out: "From here?" "No, from Pago Pago!!"
