any cliff fans out there?  anyone one going to see him at the nia in birmingham at christmas?  what's your fave cliff song?  anyone met him?   open questions to anyone who loves cliff.

I like Cliff but I do get stick about it at work. Fave Cliff song has to be "In the Country". I do however have two Cliff stories for you.

 

1) Not long ago I went to a posh wedding. They had "The Shadow of Cliff" playing who was the winner of Stars in their Eyes a few years back. He was quite fantastic and had one of the original Shadows playing with him. Anyway 3 guys (including me) were invited up on to stage. We had to wear little 60's clothes and play toy instruments whilst Cliff sang "The Young Ones". So in other words I have played with The Shadows.

 

2) Believe it or not my late father lost his virginity to Hank Marvins first wife (before they met that was).

 

PS I heard Cliff sing at Wimbledon also. Wow.

We went to see him a long time ago at Wembley. The atmosphere was fantastic. I saw him in Time and I thought  that should have got better reviews. Also saw it with David Cassidy and Cliff was much better.  Last thing I saw him in was Heathcliffe. Had to go twice as usually you are not allowed to take photos in the theatre but being the gent he is, he actually posed for photos after he collected all the gifts people threw on stage. Managed to get 2nd row each time so took some nice pictures. Have never met him and I think I would be too embarassed it I did.
