Hello can you tell me my rights please?i have been paid a £14.00 shortfall of JSA for as long as i can remember.I have been receiving £130.00 instead of the standard £144.00.Any ideas where the cash could have gone?Answers on a postcard xxxxxxxxxxx

ESA is a different benefit hc4361. It is for those who can not work due to a long term illness, you do not have to 'sign on' for ESA.
Job seekers allowance (JSA)is paid to people who are fit and actively looking for work (the clue is in the name.) You have to sign on every 2 weeks for JSA. It is less than ESA at £113.70 for a couple over 18.

wolf63, you try living on benefits for a while. It's not the walk in the park people seem to think it is.
Don't forget, your gas, electricity, water, TV, insurances, petrol, food etc. still cost the same.
Be grateful you have not been thrust into that position, because believe me, it's not fun so theat last thing you need is people dismissing your plight. *Rant over*.
