Have you done anything unusual this week?
I cleaned and reproved my grandmother's bakestone which is over 100 years old. Then I made Welsh cakes (or bakestones ) on it.
Kitchen a complete shambles but it worked!

Hope next week is better.

Yes, I got up today to find that I'd gone to bed without finishing the last half of a bottle of beer before doing so. Leaving beer undrunk? Now that IS unusual for me!
;-)

I hope that the school holiday period (which I assume you're just starting) is full of joys (and full health) for you and all your family.

Thanks all for your concern - girl is now full of the lurgy but that's just how it goes. Boy #1 was a star last night and saved the day. I have sourced some candy pizzas to cheer them all up tomorrow. Car is fine and the breakdown man might have solved a long-running (but so easily fixed if you know what you're doing) problem. Upside is that thing 1 will be in our bed for a cuddle tonight as she's not well - she's a fab cuddler.

I think it looks brilliant (yes, I know it's an expensive way to buy sweets - but it's a pizza made out of sweets in a pizza box!)
