Isn't it obvious that Greece. having run out of other peoples' money and now reduced to begging for more, is in fact a dead parrot?

The EUssr or Fourth Reich is trying to nail it to its perch for reasons of pure Euro dogma.

There is no prospect of Greece ever staging a recovery large enough for it to stand on its own feet, sorry claws.

It would be funny if it wasn't only for the fact that we're involved with these EU imperialist nutters

Or am I missing something?

You have it almost backwards. Other countries (Germany included) have gone bankrupt in the past, and had debts forgiven. The EU is not nailing Greece to its perch in an attempt to make it look as if its alive, it's ensuring that Greece can never, ever recover by continuing with a policy that actually prevents the country from ever making enough money to repay its debts. It's nailing it to the floor of the cage.

The laughable nonsense of this "deal" bears comparison to a Monty Python sketch, don't you think?
