You mentioned that in your area the teachers have two "inset days", in which to prepare themselves for the term ahead.
And that has always been the case where I live, but this year just before the holidays, I overheard a group of teachers saying that this year they were going to group all the years "inset days" together so as to make one whole week to add on to the beginning of the holiday, so as to make it cheaper for the parents to book a holiday abroad, yeah!
I wonder how they are going to prepare themselves for all the new terms throughout the rest of the year? Just goes to show that these inset days are just another wheeze to add even more holidays to their now already excessive number of holidays.
