Was down here this afternoon....rather beautiful.......then I found this video and it really shows it all off.....

Fav locations? Or been here to Hell's Mouth? By the way, it's a local suicide spot but then it was a little too windy for that this afternoon......

There was this one a couple of years or so ago....the geologists had set up sensors that triggered their cameras.

No seagulls were involved, DTC?
Question Author
Hi Psybbs, xx - they could have been trying to blow up a nest, I guess. Should of got the Springbok pack in........
Hells mouth looks not dissimilar to Bedruthan steps to me, DT.
Question Author
a long way down, tony! Would take several beers or bottles of wine to tombstone dive that!
Tombstone, appropriate word that DT.
Question Author
yes, engrave it first:

Everything is bathed in Cornish colour
And a blinding azurean path
Shines from the sky onto the sea
To the grey shingle beach below you
Blood stains will stand out like red poppies

The deep Hell's mouth tomb receives
All its young alien corpses
Of those who are tired of living
Those who can't find consolation
Despite the advice of various AB sunsets

Wings flutter among the ears of nearby sheep
Like the Atlantic wind which ripples the sea
And dreadfully over it
On the water more blue than the sky
There's the cliff of a local Hell's Mouth suicide.
Ill take a window seat in the Blue Bar at Porthtowan DT. Plate of grilled sardines and a bottle of shiraz at sunset.
Out of the Blue.
.
Try again

I know the place, Togo, my printer is in Porthtowan, top of the hill on the south side, Mount Pleasant, and in Britain's largest earth building!
Was down there last week of June dt, in a grand little cottage on the left right by the dunes and next to the surf and beach patrol hut. Penventon cottages.
Question Author
Bit quieter and wilder now, Togo.....was down there yesterday to drop the drawing off.....some impressive shower clouds rolling across the bay as we came down the hill from St Agnes - discovered the pizza place in St A yet - where the fish shop used to be, though I believe he may be selling some smoked fish from his house down into Chapel Porth.
Question Author
tasty pizzas, mainly for take-away, each with Cornish tin mine names....
We used to like the Chinese in St Agnes. But our favourites after the Blue are The Alba in St Ives and The Hobbler both on the quay. I have been a regular visitor to Cornwall since the late 60s. Sometimes twice in a year. Love the place and have probably visited every place of interest. I could drive there in my sleep. When I first used to visit there was no M6,M5, Exeter bypass, and the A30 was only about 25ft wide from top to bottom.

No 2 Forestreet, Mousehole for me, if lunch, then dessert at Jelbert's in Newlyn. Truro now has two good places, the Yue Tree on City Road, a very small Chinese, and the Rising Sun on Mitchell Hill. Guess you know the Miners at Mithian, and the Baroness Anouska who runs it.....
We also quite like some of the Falmouth eateries and bars not to mention St Mawes and Mevagissey. Stop it your making me 'homesick'
