Ipad Update

I updated my iPad to IOS 9.01, and so far I've noticed two things.
My keyboard has shrunk which I find a bit difficult.
But the main change is a bit weird. I use Chambers dictionary app quite a lot. There is a new symbol above the keyboard like two squares overlapping. When I click on it a phrase appears in the search line. It took me a while to understand what it meant. Then I realised it was the last line to a joke I posted on here the other day. How on earth could that happen. That site has no connection to AB.
The joke had come to me my email, I have difficulty copy and pasting on here so I used my old laptop to copy it to AB. This was before I updated so am quite bemused by what is going on.
Has anyone any ideas please?

Yes Caran, thats why I was asking the question. The symbol you have lets you, for instance, look at the last page you viewed using another device. Do you have another Apple device?

No Milvus, my laptop is a Dell. I have a Samson phone but only use it as a phone.

There are certain apps that when used on you iPad connect with other apps or items also in your iPad. For example if you type the word tomorrow into an email it will link to your calendar if you wish. So maybe what you last typed is still in the keyboard memory..? iPads are good at remembering what has previously been typed

Sycamore I didn't type it. I received an email with the joke in it. I tried to copy and paste it here but I couldn't, somehow I have lost that function on iPad. So I got my laptop out. Retrieved the email, copied and pasted it on the lap pie go AB successfully. Closed laptop down. Came on iPad and saw it had appeared on AB. So I am confused.

I updated my ipad to iOS 9.01 on Tuesday evening. But today I got the symbols you describe above the keyboard. When I pressed it it read something about a coffee blogger from Google. I know I have definitely not typed that in so I am now a mystified as yourself.

You keyboard should not be smaller. You may need to have a play with the keyboard settings under General.

The keyboard now has cut, copy and paste build into the keyboard. If you have tapped the two squares symbol, that is the paste button and will paste text into the search box.

Caran - By shrunken keyboard and you mean between uppercase and lowercase letters - Just turn off the switch under Settings > General > Accessibility > Keyboard > Show Lowercase Keys.

While you're here, Jom, any idea why website data keeps coming back when I try to delete individual items?

Jo Go to Settings>Safari>Tap on Clear History and Website Data>Confirm it by tapping on Clear History and Website Data.

Thanks, Jom..on advanced, I used to be able to delete individual items, but if i try it now, they just reappear the next time I check.grrrrr
