Madeleine Mccann Case: Police Team Cut To Four

There many unsolved murders that the Police stopped investigating many years ago. While Madeleine may still be alive, and I hope she is, how much longer can our already over-stretched Police be expected to continue to put manpower into this investigation, especially given the huge cuts to Police budgets coming up shortly ?

I am tending to agree with your here Samuraisan, but I wanted to try to stay on topic, with my question above.

I will say straight out, that I think its time that the British Police stopped this investigation, and diverted their meagre resources on to other things.

Totally agree with you mikey444. This has gone on for far far too long. Perhaps the family can fund further investigation from money made from donations, books written, sale of goods. I really fail to see why we, the general public, should continue to foot the bill. Yes I am sure that the child is dead ... in fact I reckon she died the night she was taken.

Maybe they know something the general public don't and are trying to bring the perpetrators to justice. The Portuguese solved this case years ago but money and status so far has protected the guilty parties.

Some facts are indisputable -British Cadaver dogs found evidence a human corpse had been in a car rented by the McGanns ,24 days after the 'disappearance' of Madeleine.

If they were british cadaver dogs then how do you claim the Portugese police solved it? It was within the apartment by the way, not their car and it should be born in mind that Expert handlers said that dogs can only pick up the scent of a body which has been in situ for more than two hours.

If that information proved accurate and was in the public domain - which since you are aware of it, it must have been, why do you think it's subsequently been covered up?

I think the police (both UK and Portugese) have no further leads in this matter. It's unfortunate but it happens. Time let go, I think.

I've never heard such utter rubbish in my life, Retro. Sniffer dogs found no evidence of morbid matter in the boot of the McCanns' hire car. They probably picked up the scent of Madeleine, hardly surprising that by the time Sniffer dogs were deployed the McCanns had been forced to vacate their apartment and all of Madeleine's clothes and shoes had been loaded into the boot before they moved into a nearby villa! God almighty!

If my child was kidnapped my least care would be how long or how many police investigated the case. Neither would I care of populace detractors so long as my child was found.

Maddie is 11+y now but (7oclock) eye mark will remain.
