New Question
Wherever I posted and told you yesterday mr maxie didnt come back to me and the vet nurse told me what to do re chicken - I done it for that night and next day and it worked.
Today was after having him for 10 months - what did he do - he went onto the main road - I had loads of chicken treats - got him back - but he ran off - like it was raining today and I walked him for about an hour freelance - - as we were going home - I couldnt believe it - he run out of the park - first time in 10 months - what could I do - I ran back into park - he is standing "stupidtly" looking - am sad that I had there so much control 10 months ago where he wouldn't leave me - I am not a good dog owner. He controls me. I am lucky he was on the main road - if he had have seen another dog on the other side of this massive main road - he was dead. so he is back on the lead for a good while now - whether he likes it or not.

Will certainly keep this card - it is a large enhancement of my avatar. Funny when it is blown up.
must do that eccles - I nearly died when he went onto the main road and the more I approached him he was sorta running away and also seemed to be disorientated. The best thing I did was I ran (did I say ran) Jaysus - crawled would be the word - back into the park and he ran after me. I do need recall lessons. He did come back for the chicken ate it and as I was grabbing his collar missed him and he run away again. He's lovely tho - altho could strangle him when he does this I love him so much.
That was just one training class I rang - will google some over the weekend.

Sausage rolls are just finished - am eating one now - oh - just got a platter of sandwiches made up from Sainsburys - one friend doesn't like butter so had to make separate ones for her - so that's my lot - they just serve themselves with the food and drink - I just have a drink and a bit of craic.

"He controls me" that sentence in your post is your basic problem.
You have to become the leader of the 'pack'. Some people need the assistance of dog training to become that authoritative person/dog pack leader. Some dogs can be quite dominant themselves especially if you don't maintain your pack leader status at all times.
Nowadays, it is becoming difficult to walk a dog off the lead on any road especially one that will not obey basic commands. You need to put the lead on before you leave the park and make sure he walks to heel until he has calmed down from running around in the park.
In past times all my dogs were trained to walk to heel without leads, but nowadays I would not do that at all because the roads are too busy.

Slack Alice - I do see even young girls managing big dogs ie Alsations etc without a lead and am amazed.
I was trying to him back on the lead for about an hour - he thought it a joke.
Also Baldric he is on an extending lead and I think that can be a problem as he then has too much leeway - so next time I will not extend the lead to its full length and keep him beside me so he hopefully could learn I am the leader of the pack but in the meantime I will still look for training classes.
