100 pieces of dangles, baubles and bells and the lights work! Thank goodness that's done.

I hate dressing the tree. I have little patience for it.

I am now going to have a glass of wine. I deserve it.

Cheers.

I couldn't, Yilly. I was out, maybe that's why they chose to do it then !.
Question Author
Blimey, DTC. That definitely did not happen.

I was sensible and made sure the lights worked before I put them on the tree.
Question Author
Any excuse......!

Actually, Mr T was out as well. Do I see a recurring theme here....?
The tree going up is the worse thing - cleaning the toy (crap) corner out, the drama of himself finding the 'right' tree, thing 1 reaching fever pitch of excitement and the Krypton Factor-esque ritual of trying to get to the plugs to switch the lights on and off (was supposed to be thing 2's job but he's hurt his finger so can't manage it).
Yep. The theme is you never help with anything.
Opening the front door.

Why bother with a tree if you resent it so?
Question Author
Has 'himself' found the right tree yet, Sherr?

Huuummm, Togo.
Question Author
Eccles, usually, I don't bother with a tree but this year we have visitors staying and I thought I'd better make an effort.

Usually, I just stick a few twigs in a vase and hang a few baubles on them.

Anyway. It's done now. I does look nice, I must admit.
This year he had trouble finding the recommended tree selling place (but was impressed that you got to choose the one you want and they chop it down for your for £10).
enjoy your Christmas, tilly, xx
Question Author
£10 is a good price, Sherr. My friend has just paid £35 for hers!
Question Author
Thanks, DTC.

I am now going to change this and ask 'What is your favourite Christmas task?

Mine is, buying presents.

Getting through it!
