How Many Poles?
A foreman sent out two groups of men to put up telephone poles along a new road and asked them to report at the end of the day.
The crews were gone all day and returned just as the sun was setting.
The foreman asked the leader of the first group how many poles they had installed.
The reply was eleven.
The foreman patted the man on the back and said, "Not bad."
Then he went to Paddy, leader of the second group, and asked him the same question.
Two was the reply.
"Two! All you installed were two?! The other group installed eleven!" The foreman exclaimed angrily.
"Yes," Paddy answered, "But you should have seen how much they left sticking out!"

Paddy decides to go into the tree-felling business. He manages with a hand-saw for a few days but then hears that a chainsaw does the job much quicker. So Paddy goes to his local B&Q and the salesman sells him a brand new stihl chainsaw, informing him that it'll easily cut down 150 trees a day.
Paddy's well pleased with this and gives it a try for the next couple of days. On the third day he goes back to the shop and complains that there must be something wrong with it - he can only manage about 70 trees a day. The salesman carefully inspects the chainsaw and then starts it up to check it out.
"What the feck's that noise"? shouts Paddy.
